Dear Kay Maynard, and Dale, Dean and Steve and families;
I recall that my late Dad, F. Stanley Phillips, would gate keep for the Juniors racing series at Jiminy Peak ski area in the 1970s. Mom would help some with Kay at the listing of the results at the foot of the finish line or just sit reading in the greenhouse there. Maggie (UVM 1979), Sally, Martha Epstein (Williams College1978) and myslf would ski in the races. We would they to invite low handicap rated skiers down from Vermont to join in. I went to Norwich 1979, and the Regimental Band was housed in my dorm on the UP. Skied at Norwich ski area. The family joined the Sterling ski club in CT. Dad, Mom and I worked together in Phillips Consulting, Inc. doing business consulting as you might recall. The Junoirs would go over to Kay and George's home to watch the FIS races on tv afternoons before heading home. I did not know that George went to Norwich 1953, was a lifeguard or a UCC member until just now. Shared much goodtimes at Jiminy Peak. My husband is a civil engineer and applied to Lane Construction, but did not get hired there. He is a PE in CT and MA with VN Engineers, Inc. and in ASCE much like George. I will let Mom know that your fammily is a Norwich family too. To attend 200th event at Northfield, VT Hope to see you there... I will be in the 40th Reunion class 1979. Don't ski any more. Won a car and some National ranked level races. I feel that skiing is too expensive now...
