Barbara Walker
Mrs. Barbara Ann (Murphy) Walker, 76, passed away May 20, 2018 in Dalton, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born to the late Lawrence and Dorothy Murphy on December 23, 1941, in Leominster, MA.

She graduated from high school at the Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsboro, MA. She also attended the University of Massachusetts. Barbara was a business owner in the clothing industry, as well as a real estate agent, until retiring in 1998.

Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Franklin Walker, who passed away in 1998. She is survived by her sons, J.B. Laughnane (Maureen), Michael Laughnane, Christopher Laughnane, and daughter Kelly Lussier (David); sister Jo Ann Farren (Bruce) and brothers John and Michael Murphy.
Barbara’s heart was centered with her family. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life. She leaves her seven grandchildren, Patrick, Lisa, Christopher and Melissa Laughnane, and Megan, Shannon and Bridget Lussier. She also leaves behind her dog, Marley.

Barbara loved bocce, bridge, corn hole, and traveling to Foxwoods Casino. She was an avid reader and loved jigsaw puzzles. She was a member of the Italian American Club and A.C.B.L. Life Master.
Special thanks to the staff at Hillcrest Cancer Center for your special care, (Billie Jo, Shannon, Julie and Kim) and Hospice Care in the Berkshires (especially Patty), for your support of our family during this difficult time.
