Condolences

Condolence From: Madelyn Foster
Condolence: I met Jeannie when we she worked at the Pittsfield Library. We bonded quickly over our shared love of books, words, music, animals. She was in the beginning stages of her writing career, and I was so pleased that she did it! Luckily, I ran into Jeannie at the communal meeting place - Stop&Shop - and was able to tell her I read "Rock Angel" and compliment her on her success. Typical Jeannie. She was genuinely appreciative. A few words can describe her - kind and accepting. I am so saddened by her passing.

Condolence: I did not know Jeanne--more's the pity. I heard of her passing through Facebook and, having just graduated from the Suluk Academy, was acquainted with New Lebanon. The more I read, the more vital Jeannie became. I am now reading "Rock Angel" as a way to come to know her. If I am this taken by Jeannie, having never met her, I can only imagine the hole her passing has rent in the fabric of the lives of her loved ones. All sympathy and love to you all. And Jeannie: Rest in Joy!

Condolence From: Trina Porte
Condolence: Dear Friends and Family of Jeannie,

New Lebanon lost a shining light, and the vivacious heart of the community, when Jeannie passed away. I lived in NL for 11 years and the [already wonderful] library reached new heights in music, family, literary, and arts programming, and in welcoming participation, when Jeannie became Library Director. Even though I had to move out of town, I still enjoy reading the weekly email library news. Jeannie is very much loved and missed...

Sincerely, Trina Porte
