Obituary for Beverly M. Jarrett

Beverly M. Jarrett, 85, of Pittsfield passed away peacefully on February 26, 2016 at the Berkshire Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Pittsfield, on September 22, 1930 she was the daughter of the late Albert A. and Madeline M. Vogel Kosche. She was educated in local schools.
Beverly worked for 43 years as a machine operator at the A.H. Rice Silk Mill retiring in 1995. She then began work as a homeworker for Braza until 2015.
Beverly was a longtime social member of the Polish Falcons. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and completing word searches.
Her husband Robert L. Jarrett whom she married March 1, 1958 died March 31, 1978.
She leaves her son Ronald Phelps and his wife Louise of North Bennington, VT, her daughter; Gail L. McGivern and her husband Bruce of Pittsfield, her six grandchildren; Mai Ly Shays and her husband Cory of Shaftsbury, VT, Ronald D. Phelps II and his wife Sandi of Las Vegas, NV, Amy L. Phelps of Troy, NY, Noelle M. Skowron of Pittsfield, MA, Edward R. Skowron of West Newton, MA, and Michelle M. Jones and her husband John of Lanesboro, MA., her five great-grandchildren; Kayla, John, Tristen, Ashlyn and Nicolas; her longtime companion Leamon Rider of Stockbridge and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her daughter Connie M. Chapman; and her brothers Albert and Eugene Kosche.

FUNERAL NOTICE – Funeral Services for Beverly M. Jarrett, 85, who died February 26th, will be Thursday March 3rd, at 12:00p.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, celebrated by Richard E. Hayes, Chaplain of Hospicecare in the Berkshires. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Beverly's memory can be made to the Berkshire Visiting Nurses Association in care of the funeral home.
