Obituary for Wayne Michael Allard Sr.

Beloved Wayne Michael Allard, Sr., age 58, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at 10:04 am on July 11, 2019 while he was hospitalized at Boston’s Brigham and Women’s. Wayne’s brave battle came to an end as he succumbed to complications associated with his rare form of cancer, acute erythroid leukemia.

Wayne was born as the third child to the late Bernard N. Allard, Sr., and Elizabeth M. Harrison Allard, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on March 27, 1961.

Left behind are his loving wife, Erin M. Ramsey from Pittsfield, MA; Children: Wayne Jr., Christin Allard, Andrew Allard, and Trevor Allard, all residents of Adams, MA; Step Children: Mark Ramsey, Erika Ramsey, and Chance Ramsey, all residents of Pittsfield; Seven Grandchildren: Aidan Ford, Carson Durant, Noah Ramsey, Jaxson Ramsey, Camden Durant, Melanie Ramsey, and Ameera Ramsey; Siblings: Bernard Allard, Jr., of North Adams, Debbie Levesque of North Adams, Susan Rondeau (Philip) of Stamford VT, and Joseph Allard (Diane) of Adams; His uncle, Wilfred C. Harrison of Cheshire, Aunt, Barbara A. Harrison of Adams, and cousins, nieces and nephews.

Wayne was a graduate of McCann Technical High School.

Wayne was a jack of all trades, who wore many hats, working in various capacities in the local area: Waverly, James River Mill, Bland Electric, BCAC, and most importantly being a loving and dedicated husband whose joy arose from making everyday life easier for his wife.

Each finding their soul mates, Wayne and Erin were wed on October 1, 2010.

Wayne’s passion and enthusiasm for life was felt by all that knew him. He found a way of making even the mundane an adventure. He spent his free time enjoying a myriad of hobbies including: being an avid reader and connoisseur of world history, he had a zest, and skill for gardening, loved singing and dancing, wherever and whenever, especially in the arms of his wife. “Hamming” it up, in almost all situations, and regularly traveling both locally and around the world with his wife by his side. And lastly, his favorite past time, being a Pops to his grandchildren, who meant the world to him, and any child that was fortunate enough to have Wayne be a positive influence in their lives.  His love for children, especially babies, was well known by all who loved him.

Celebration of life (Funeral Services) for Mr. Allard will be held, Wed July 31, 2019 at 6pm (5pm to view pictures, memorabilia, and meet his family). Light food fare will be available after the service. The service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 470 E New Lenox Rd, Pittsfield.
