Obituary for Paul W Cormier
Paul William Cormier, 65, of Pittsfield, MA, passed away recently after a long illness.
He was born in Pittsfield on July 16, 1953 to Laurie and Mae Mercier Cormier.
Mr. Cormier worked as an Attorney for many years, including as Solicitor for the City of Pittsfield under Mayor Anne Wojtkowski. He later led a claims department for Berkshire Life Insurance Company.
He enjoyed playing and listening to music, instrument making, reading, hunting, coin collecting, and following his beloved Red Sox.
Besides his parents, he leaves behind his two daughters, Renee N. Muztafago of Clifton Park, NY, Danielle A. Hoey of Lunenburg, MA, and his son, Justin P. Cormier of Washington, DC; brother Laurie Cormier of Kingston, NY; brother William Cormier of Pittsfield; sister Lynn Browne of Pittsfield; and three grandchildren. He also is survived by his former wife, and mother of his children, Terry Johnston Cormier.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 27 at 2:00 pm at DERY FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Berkshire Music School in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
