Douglas E. Hutton, Sr., 85, of New Lebanon, NY, passed away December 25, 2018 at the Vermont Veterans Home.
He was born on August 31, 1933, to the late Roy and Bessie Drumb Hutton.
Mr. Hutton was a veteran of the US Naval Air Force and had served during the Korean War on the USS Essex.
He was married to the former Joan Freeman on June 18, 1955.
Douglas worked as a manager for 25 years at FW Webb in Pittsfield, retiring in 1995. He enjoyed golfing, making stained glass, collected coins and baseball cards and was a member of the American Legion.
He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Joan Hutton of New Lebanon, NY; his two daughters, Amy McCaleb of Baldwinsville, NY and Tracy Hutton of Salem, MA; and his son Douglas Hutton of Williamstown, MA; five grandchildren, Allene, Zachary, Kyle, Kendylle, and Kaitlyn; and three great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Pittsfield American Legion, in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
