Obituary for Beulah E Smialek

Beulah E. Smialek, 92, of Devonshire Estates, formerly of Pittsfield, MA, passed away November 4, 2018 at Springside Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center.

Born on April 8, 1926, the daughter of the late Harlow and Annie Dunn Hardy, she attended schools in Stockbridge, MA.

She married the late, Alexander J. Smialek on April 2, 1946, who predeceased her on January 2, 2015.
Mrs. Smialek worked for 28 years as an assembler at Sheaffer Eaton Paper Company, and previously worked at Newberry’s. She proudly retired at the age of 79 from Arrow Press, after working there for 14 years.

She was a communicant of the former St. Francis Church and a fan of the Boston Red Sox.
Mrs. Smialek leaves behind her daughter, Patricia S. Fenner her husband Allen of Lee, MA; two grandchildren, Christine Galeucia and Brian Fenner; and two great-grandchildren, Ally and Teaghan Galeucia.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service will be held, FRIDAY, November 9, 2018 at 1:30pm at St. Joseph Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Peter A. Gregory, Pastor Emeritus of St. Charles Church. The omission of flowers is requested. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
