Obituary for Norma J Lennon

Hinsdale MA- Norma J. Lennon a devoted homemaker, mother, and grandmother who spread love and kindness to those closest to her, is dead at 81. Mrs. Lennon, who will be remembered for her caring and gentle soul, peacefully passed away at Mt Greylock Extended Care facility in Pittsfield, on Tuesday August 14, 2018.
Her death came gradually and on her own terms after experiencing complications related to a severe hemorrhagic stroke.
The majority of Lennon’s life was devoted to taking care of her husband, children, and grandchildren. For a family with a far reaching web, she acted as the family glue keeping everyone together. Family members would come from near and far during all times of the year to catch up and enjoy a fresh cup of coffee or tea with her. She was a perpetual source of light, laughter and friendliness for many. Her selflessness and ability to unconditionally love others was contagious and remarkable.
She had a special place in her heart for infants and children, often offering to babysit for family and friends. Spending time with kids was something she enjoyed persistently through-out her adult life. Any kid she watched will have difficulty forgetting her mac and cheese or molasses cookies.
Aside from caring for others and being with family, cooking was one of her favorite pastimes. At any given time, you could open the front door to her house and have your nostrils bombarded by the strong aroma of her homemade spaghetti sauce, or the sweet fragrance of freshly baked cookies. Usually anyone who walked into the house was met almost immediately with: “You want something to eat? I have …”
Mrs. Lennon leaves behind many heavy-hearted family members; her Brother Jimmy and wife Joni Barnaby, Jane and Jamie Larkin, Holly and Greg Proctor, Ann and Jim Hunt, Josh Hebert, Erick and Beth Lampro, Bryan and Shane Proctor, Ryan Wilson, and great-granddaughter Evelyn Lampro.
