Obituary for Steven R Salvini

Steven R Salvini
Steven R. Salvini, 58 of Becket, passed away July 24, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with mesothelioma.

Born on December 5, 1959, he was the son of Susan Tucker Salvini and the late Hubert (Issy) Salvini. Steve graduated from Wahconah Regional High School in 1977.

Steve was a skilled carpenter and master cabinet maker for most of his life. He was most known as a gifted drummer; playing with bands such as Leon Savage, Ed Vadas & The Fabulous Heavyweights, The Chess Kings, and with various Berkshire County musicians.

Besides drumming, he enjoyed riding his Harley, spending time with family, and making people laugh.

He leaves behind his mother, Susan Salvini of Dalton, MA; son Nathan Salvini and his wife Ashley of Lee, MA; daughter Lindsey Salvini of Las Vegas, NV; his grandchildren Caleb, Violet and Victoria; as well as his brothers William Salvini of Dalton and John Salvini of Lanesborough along with several nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: There will be no calling hours. A private burial will be held with the family. Services will be held at The First Congregational Church in Dalton on August 4, 2018 at 11:30 a.m., followed by a celebration of life at The Stationery Factory. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Berkshire County Jimmy Fund in care of DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 E. Main St, Dalton, MA 01226.
