Dorothy Helen Flynn, 88, of Berkshire Town Apartments, passed away peacefully May 20, 2018 at Springside Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born in Pittsfield on March 29, 1930, the daughter of the late Clifford and Anna Byers Biron. Mrs. Flynn was a graduate of Pittsfield High School and St. Lukes Nursing Program. She married the late Cornelius J. Flynn on January 18, 1950, who predeceased her on December 6, 1992.

Primarily a homemaker, she held many jobs over the years, including Quality Printing, driving mini busses, and as a cashier. Dorothy was a communicant of St. Charles Church, a member of the Polish Falcons and the Eagles Club. She was a talented oil painter as well.

Mrs. Flynn leaves behind eight children, Clifford Flynn and his wife JoAnn, Linda Flynn, Carol DiFillippo and her husband Joseph, Edward Flynn and his wife Lorraine, all of Pittsfield, William Flynn of North Adams, Teresa Flynn, Sheila Flynn, both of Pittsfield, and Joseph Flynn of Lee; twenty-five grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Dorothy Helen Flynn will be held, Thursday, May 24, 2018 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Charles Church with Rev. Peter A. Gregory, Pastor Emeritus, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Charles Church, in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA.
