Jean Arnold, 86, of Pittsfield, died Friday, June 8, at Berkshire Medical Center. She has resided with her daughter since February 2018 and prior to moving to Pittsfield she resided in Largo, FL since 1980.

Born in Lawrence, Mass. on November 29, 1931, the daughter of Stanley and Beatrice Shepard Burke, she attended Pittsfield schools and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.

Mrs. Arnold worked as a private-duty nurses’ aide for many years.

She was a former member of the Red Hat Society in Largo. She enjoyed bingo, her family,
especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, were her greatest joy.

Her husband, John Arnold, died January 5, 2014.

Mrs. Arnold is survived by four sons, Albert Drake of Florida, Stephen Drake, Gary Drake, and
Michael Drake, all of California; a daughter, Deborah Drake Sayers of Pittsfield with whom she had made her home; a brother, Wayne Burke of Huntington, Mass.; a sister, Patricia George of Pittsfield; many grand- and great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
