Eleanor Mae Granger, age 95, of Pittsfield, MA, passed away after a short illness on October 18, 2018 at Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center in Lenox, MA.

Born July 25, 1923 in Pittsfield, the daughter of Clinton H. Dawley Sr. and Hazel (Osterhaut) Dawley, she was a 1942 graduate of Pittsfield High School.

She was married to Edward R. Granger, who preceded her in death in 1983 after 37 years of marriage.

Eleanor worked for General Electric during World War II and was primarily a homemaker thereafter who enjoyed painting and gardening. She particularly enjoyed helping raise and care for all of her grandchildren and many of her great grandchildren.

Mrs. Granger leaves behind her son, David R. Granger and wife Denise of Pittsfield; daughters Debra Cooke of Pittsfield, Judith Miceli of Vernon, CT, and Barbara Boyer and her husband Dave of Chandler, AZ.: 12 grandchildren and 13 great-children many of whom spent precious time with her before she passed.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Hospice Care in the Berkshires, in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford, Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
