Obituary for William Michael "Mike" Lennon

William Michael "Mike" Lennon
William M. “Mike” Lennon, 57, of Pittsfield, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at his home.

Born in Pittsfield on October 25, 1960, son of Joan A. Patti Lennon, and the late William F. Lennon, Jr., he was a 1978 graduate of Taconic High School.

At the time of his death, Mr. Lennon was an Account Executive with Quality Printing Company where he worked for 17 years. Prior to that, he had been employed by Excelsior Printing Company, worked at A.H. Rice Silk Mill, and was a welder at General Electric Company.

Mike was a member of Wahconah Country Club where he enjoyed shanking a couple into the woods (though after sinking a putt he was known to exclaim “best part of my game!”). He also enjoyed music, and taught himself to play the drums and guitar. He loved to cook and to make limoncello. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his two daughters, Casey and Mikki, his best friends.

Mike had an infectious personality. He was known for his warmth, his unbelievable sense of humor, his sincerity, and his ability to light up any room. To the many friends of Mike Lennon, he would want you to remember the good times you shared.

Mr. Lennon leaves his mother, Joan Lennon, of Pittsfield; two daughters, Casey Lennon of Pittsfield; and Mikki Lennon and her beau, Jamie D’Amaral, of Westfield; grandson, Oxford; three sisters, Kyle P. O’Brien of Lanesborough, Kerry M. Bourassa of Dalton, and Kathleen M. Johnson of Becket; three brothers, Kevin P. Lennon of Lanesborough, Shaun P. Lennon of Washington, Mass., and Brian A. Lennon of Pittsfield; and his wife, Patricia Sayers Lennon.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for William “Mike” Lennon will be held Monday, September 24, at 12:00 noon at DERY FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Charles F. Young officiating. Calling hours will be Sunday, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home.
