Anna Virginia "Annie"  Kozubal
Anna Virginia “Annie” Kozubal, age 94 of 50 Wells Road, Cheshire, MA, died Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Williamstown Commons.

Anna was born in Cheshire, on March 21, 1924, the daughter of Joseph J. and Katherine Barlick Kozubal.

She attended schools in Cheshire and Adams.

Anna was employed by General Electric for a short time and then worked at McCory and Newberry on North Street in Pittsfield from which she retired.

She was a member of the Berkshire Hills Country Club for many years. She played in many tournaments throughout Berkshire County winning several trophies, and continued to play until she was 90.

She was a lifetime communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Cheshire. Anna enjoyed reading, her flower gardens, golf and traveling, including a trip to Hawaii.

She is predeceased by her longtime companion, Ray Ferland, her brothers, Andrew J., and Joseph J. Kozubal, and two sisters, Bernice Kozubal Troyonvich, and Nellie Kozubal Sohl. In addition, she leaves several nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. She will truly be missed by her good friends and neighbors, Sandra and Joseph Sloane, Ronald and Lois Lancia and their families.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Anna will be held, Wednesday, September 12, 2018 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church celebrated by Rev. Matthewl Guidi, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Cheshire Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church, prior to the service from 10:15am to 10:45am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Hoosac Hose Fire Department of Cheshire in care of the DERY FUNERAL HOME, PO BOX 445, Cheshire, MA 01225
