Obituary for Margaret McBurney

The funeral for Margaret M. McBurney, who died June 30, 2018, will be held Friday, July 6,
9:00 a.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Dr. Douglas J. Foss, Pastor of Hope Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., at DERY FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to medical research organization, nbia/bpan in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.

Born in Tillicoultry, Scotland, the daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth (Cook) Fisher, she was
educated here and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. She had worked as an office clerk at the former Schaeffer-Eaton Paper Company, and was a member of the Grand Lodge daughters of Scotia and Past Chief Daughter of Purple Heather Lodge #41.


Mrs. McBurney was pre-deceased by her husband, John W. McBurney, and a sister, Helen C.
Loehr.

She is survived by her son, Glenn J. (wife Jennifer) McBurney; her daughter, Claudia M. (husband Keith M.) Wing of Beaver Falls, Penn.; a sister, Dorothy E. Downey of Pittsfield; her five grandchildren, Ethan (and Ashley) Wing and Alyssa (and Titus) Martin, Elijah McBurney, Erika Bonnevie and Brett (and Kate) Bonnevie; and two great grandchildren, Finley and Knox Martin.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mount Carmel Care Center for their excellent care
and kindnesses.
