George Raymond Vogel ,68, of Williamstown, passed away June 18, 2018.

Born September 4, 1949 in Pittsfield to the late William E. and Lillian E. (Wood) Vogel, he was a 1967 graduate of Pittsfield High. He enlisted in the US Army and proudly served in Vietnam from 1967-1970. He received several medals and decorations for valor and gallantry during his service.

He leaves behind four daughters: April Vogel Richardson of Colorado; Jennifer Lewis and husband Brian of Eielson AFB, Alaska; Gina Decelles and husband David of Williamstown; and Jessica Vogel and partner Dana Loncto of Adams. He also leaves the mother of his children April (Vogel) Swanner of Adams and his nine grandchildren: Cara, Stephanie, Amber; Tristin,Taylor, Brandon; Madison, Mckenzie, and Mason as well as one great grandson, Dylon. He is survived by his sister Harriet Houghtaling of Florida and three nieces, Tammy, Carol and Dawn.
