Bernard Matthew Tracy, 91 of 2 Ann Drive, Lanesborough, passed away May 24, 2018 at Berkshire Medical Center.

Born on January 17, 1927, the son of the late Bernard J. and Catherine Naughton Tracy, he was a 1944 graduate of St. Joseph High School. A member of the United States Navy, he served as a Seaman 1st Class in World War II, from 1945 to 1946.

Mr. Tracy married the former Theresa L. Parent on October 25, 1949. They would have celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary this year.

He was a civil engineer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, retiring in 1989. Mr. Tracy was a communicant of St. Charles Church.

Besides his loving wife, he leaves his three daughters, Maureen Tracy Venti and her husband Edward of Jackson, NH, Elizabeth Tracy and her partner Matthew Johnston of Novato, CA, Catherine Tracy Poirier and her husband James of Waltham, MA; his son Matthew Tracy and his wife Elizabeth of Rowley, MA; four grandchildren, Raymond Poirier, Thomas, Ethan and Nicole Tracy.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mr. Tracy will be held, WEDNESDAY, May 30, 2018 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Charles Church with Rev. Peter A. Gregory, Pastor Emeritus, officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Lanesborough. Calling hours will be held, TUESDAY, May 29, 2018 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Franciscan Mission in Albany in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
