Obituary for Steven John Mottor

Steven John Mottor
Steven John Mottor, 58, of 545 Middlefield Road, Hinsdale, passed away May 14, 2018 peacefully at home surrounded by family.

Born January 24th, 1960 to Bessie (Gero) Mottor and the late James A. Mottor, Steven was a 1978 graduate of Wahconah Regional High School where he met his wife & love of his life Teresa (Lampro). They married July 25th, 1981. Steven spent the bulk of his working career with Lipton Energy but also worked for Crane & Company, Beck Dickinson, Whitney Produce, and the Peru Highway Department.

Steven was a fan of the Boston Red Sox who enjoyed watching wrestling, mowing his lawn, old cars, and music. He was also known for telling great stories and always cherishing each moment with family and friends.

Besides his mother Bessie Mottor, he leaves his wife of 36 years, Teresa Mottor of Hinsdale; three sons, Joshua M. Lampro of Pittsfield, Steven A. Mottor and his fiancé Erin Raftery of Pittsfield, and Mark J. Mottor and his wife Jessica of Lanesborough; a brother Michael J. Mottor of Vermont; as well as his two grandchildren Jaeden and Joshua.

Though he passed earlier than we wanted him to, his memory will live on in not only our hearts, but through the stories we will continue to share with our families for generations to come.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Steven will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Hospice Care in the Berkshires, in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA.
