Obituary for Alec Charles "Chuck" Trova

Alec  Charles "Chuck"  Trova
Alec Charles “Chuck” Trova, of Pittsfield, MA, died unexpectedly at home on April 11, 2018. Born on July 21, 1959, to Emilio Trova and Joanne Griffin Trova, he was a graduate of Pittsfield High School, and attended BCC.
He was employed at Craneville Nursing Home in Dalton, and worked as a CNA and activities assistant. Prior to that, he spent nine years at Old Country Buffet as a chef.
He proudly served in the Army National Guard and the Marines, and was called to serve during 9/11 and the Pentagon Attacks.
He enjoyed rooting for this favorite sports teams, the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and the Boston Bruins.
Along with his brother Michael, sister Tina, and daughter Samantha, he was the caregiver to his mother Joanne, spending time together rooting for their favorite sports teams.
Alec leaves behind his beloved daughter Samantha, who was the apple of his eye. Anytime anyone would mention Sam’s name, his face would light up.
He is predeceased by his father, Emilio Trova, who died February 5, 2005, and his brother William Griffin Keser, who died September 19, 2001.
Besides his mother, and daughter, he leaves behind his brother Michael and his two boys, Nicholas and Nathan Trova of Pittsfield, who Alec spent countless hours caring for; his sister Tina Trova Rodovich and her husband James of Deerfield, MA; his Aunt Rose Nigrelli of Pittsfield, Aunt Angie Trombley of Florida, Uncle Barry Griffin of Texas and many cousins. He also leaves his daughters fiancé Ryan Bateman.
FUNERAL NOTICE: There will be a private graveside service with full military honors, at St. Joseph Cemetery with Rev. Msgr. Michael Shershanovich officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Special Olympics. Dery Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
