Obituary for Robert L Elliott
Robert L. Elliott, 95 of Devonshire Estates, Lenox, passed away March 17, 2018 at Mount Carmel Care Center. He was born in Pittsfield, MA on October 27, 1922 to the late George A. and Christina V. Bradway Elliott.
Robert graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1940. He joined an apprentice course through General Electric for mechanical and electrical engineering and received a deferment from the draft. After his schooling, he went on to join the United States Army and was served in combat in France, Luxemburg, Belgium, and Germany. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge and three battle stars.
Mr. Elliott loved to build and fly model airplanes. He helped form Pittsfield Flying Maniacs where he served as a treasurer. During his career he worked for General Electric Company as an Electrical Engineer, and he owned and operated EK-Logictrol.
He leaves behind a sister, Alberta M. Harris of Pittsfield and a niece Pamela Scolforo of Lititz, PA.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service will be held Friday, March 23, 2018 at 11:00am at Pittsfield Cemetery. Those attending are asked to meet inside the gate at 10:45am. Dery Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
