Obituary for Nancy Carroll

M. Nancy Carroll, 84 of 25 Cromwell Ave, Pittsfield, passed away at home February 16, 2018.

Born in Pittsfield on November 6, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Frank and Hazel Harkins Welter. She was a graduate of St. Josephs High School.

Mrs. Carroll worked for 28 years at the Hinsdale Town Post Office. She also was the Hinsdale Town Treasurer, and worked at First Aggie Bank.

A communicant of St. Charles Church, Nancy married the late Daniel C. Carroll who she was predeceased by March 5, 1986. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Nancy leaves behind a daughter, Melissa A. Bartlett of Pittsfield; three sons, Daniel E. Carroll of Charlton, MA, William E. Carroll of Pittsfield, James M. Carroll of Oneonta, NY; her sister Joan Willbanks of Pittsfield; thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Besides her loving husband she was predeceased by a brother Eugene Welter.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mrs. M. Nancy Carroll will be held Tuesday February 20, 2018 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Charles Church, celebrated by Rev. Peter A. Gregory. Burial will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Western and Central Mass in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
