Obituary for Doris Davis "“Sis”" Beddoe (Davis)

Doris “Sis” Davis Beddoe, 92, died peacfully Wednesday, November 22, 2017, with Brenda Caulfield and Vadim Zaslavsky, her two favorite people at her side.
Born in Binghamton, New York, on May 7, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Edward A.
and Mabel E. Fraser Davis.
Sis married the love her life, Robert I. Beddoe, II, on March 31, 1962. He died December 16, 2012.
She is survived by her stepdaughter, Jane B. Wilcox, and her favorite cousin, Billy Wilson, as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was pre-deceased by a stepdaughter, Christine Manor of whom she addored, brother Eddie, sister in law Alice and step son Robbie
Sis would like to thank Pat, Linda, Mike and Marilyn Hickey, Joanne and Jack, the Rev.
Art and his wife Sue . These friends and neighbors knew what a “good neighbors” policy is
all about. She would like to thank the many caregivers who made it possible for her to be at
home. They were not only her caregivers but became her friends and a part of her extended
family. A very special ‘thank you’ to the young woman she came to love, Brenda Caulfield.
If it weren’t for this young woman, who also came to love and admire, Sis, Sis would not have had some of the “best years of her life”. It was because of Brenda that Sis was able to spend those years in her own home! Sis would also like to thank Brenda’s friend, Vadim, who became one of Sis’s best friends and caregiver. Together, they watched many a Patriots football game and Red Sox baseball game cheering their favorite teams to victory.
