Kevin  F.   Broderick

Kevin F. Broderick, 51, of 87 Lyman Street passed away on Friday at North Adams Regional Hospital after suffering from apparent heart failure while at work. Born on March 18, 1966 in Pittsfield, he was a son Carolyn Forgey Broderick of Pittsfield and the late James J. Broderick. A lifelong resident of Pittsfield, he was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a 1984 graduate of Pittsfield High School. He also attended Massasoit Community College in Brockton.
At the time of his passing Kevin was employed at County Ambulance in the Chair Car Division where he worked as chair car operator for the past nine years. He had also worked at one time for American Medical Response, Cabulance Rainbow Taxi, Renzi Painting and as a chef at Canyon Ranch and Craneville Place of Dalton. He was a communicant of the former St. Mary the Morning Star Church and a member of the Brien Center. An avid sports fan, Kevin was a member of the 1984 Pittsfield High School State Champion Baseball team and a fan of the Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Pirates. He enjoyed cooking, horse racing and going to Saratoga Race Course. He leaves his mother, Carolyn Broderick of Pittsfield with whom he resided. Two sons; Joseph D. Broderick and Tyler J. Broderick both of Pittsfield. Three sisters; Joann Kronick and her husband Larry of Pittsfield, Kelly A. Thibodeau and her husband Craig of Pittsfield and Shannon M. Ascolillo of Orlando, FL. Three brothers; James P. Broderick and his wife Linda of Schenectady, NY, Michael A. Broderick of Pittsfield and John D. Broderick and his wife Mary Jane of Pittsfield. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.


Funeral Notice: A Prayer Service for Kevin F. Broderick who passed away on September 29, 2017 will be held Thursday at 7 PM at the DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield conducted by the Rev. Peter Gregory, pastor emeritus of St. Charles Church. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held Thursday evening from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations in memory of Kevin may be made to the Brien Center in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
