Obituary for Alice C. Traversa
Alice C. Traversa, 105, formerly of Bradford Arms and Capitol Square, died Tuesday,
August 22, 2017, at Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility.
Born in Dalton on Mary 21, 1912, the daughter of Joseph A. and Ada Boudreau
Bouchard, she attended local schools.
Mrs. Traversa was the Office Manager for Traversa Construction. She and her late husband had also owned
The Balance Rock Café.
She enjoyed crocheting and crafts.
Her husband, Peter Traversa, died January 5, 1988.
Mrs. Traversa is survived by two sons, Peter Traversa and his wife, Nancy, of Tullahoma, Tenn., and Paul Traversa and his fiancee, Elaina Collias; five grandchildren, nine great grand-
children and seven great greatgrandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Alice C. Traversa will be held Saturday, August 26, at 9:00 a.m., at
The DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield with Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, Pastor of
St. Joseph Church, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends prior to the funeral. It has been suggested that those attending wear pink as a thoughtful gesture.
