Obituary for Robert Steven Stanton

Robert Steven Stanton, 61, of 154 Bull Hill Road, Lanesborough, died Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at his home. Born in Pittsfield on November 21, 1955, the son of Irene E. Smigel Stanton and the late
Donald P. Stanton, Sr., he was a graduate of Taconic High School and of St. Francis Xavier
University in Canada.
Mr. Stanton was employed as a Master Carpenter.
He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and playing golf, as well as time with family and his family’s camp.
Mr. Stanton leaves his wife, the former Leslie Sullivan, whom he married September 3,
2011.
Besides his wife and his mother, he is survived by his stepdaughter, Monica Hines of
Lanesborough; two brothers, Donny Stanton and Scott Stanton; four sisters, Pam Morabito,
Sandy Harrington, Nina Kisluk, and Donna Parise; a son, Shawn Stanton of Pittsfield; two
daughters, Samantha Stanton and Ariana Stanton, both of Harrisville, Rhode Island; as well
as many nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by two sisters, Brenda and Linda.


FUNERAL NOTICE:
Funeral services for Robert Steven Stanton will be held Saturday, September 9, at
12:00 Noon at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield. Calling hours will precede the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Angels at HospiceCare in The Berkshires,in care of the funeral home 54 Bradford st.
