Obituary for Ada Louise Hafner
Ada Louise Hafner, 89, passed to her rest Sunday June 25, in Pittsfield, MA, with family at her side.
Louise was born in Fort Worth, TX, and when she graduated from college was recommended by her major professor for an administrative position in Syracuse, NY. She accepted for a year, but during that year she met Paul Hafner, a produce farmer from Baldwinsville, and they were married in 1951.
She spent the next 65 years on the farm, only leaving in the fall of 2016 to live with her daughter Barbara in Pittsfield, MA.
Louise was predeceased by her daughter Rebecca and husband Paul. She is survived by daughter Barbara Farley (Dennis) of Pittsfield, MA, son Paul Hafner Jr. (Sally) of Baldwinsville, NY, son Robert Hafner (Linda Soldatos) of Millbrae, CA, and daughter Carol Jane Hafner (Steve Andrews) of Hounsfield, NY.
Services are tentatively planned for September in Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkview Junior Academy, 412 S. Avery Ave., Syracuse, NY 13219.
