Obituary for Eben O. Kimball Jr.
Eben O. Kimball Jr., 71, of Dalton, died unexpectedly at home on June 27, 2017. He was born in Pittsfield on April 18, 1946, the son of the late Eben O. Kimball Sr. and Elizabeth C. Bryan. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Lenox High School.
Eben was a self-employed Farrier; a specialist in equine hoof care, including the trimming and balancing of horses’ hooves and the placing of shoes on their hooves. He did this at a very high level.
His work was his passion along with his family. He was a great father and brother; and enjoyed traveling, hiking and his dogs. He was a member of the Dalton Lions Club where here just recently became vice-president. Prior to his arrival in Dalton he was a member of the Washington Depot CT Lions Club.
He is survived by his sons; Eben Joshua Kimball of New York and Thomas Kimball of CA; his sisters; Elizabeth Redstone of Swampscott and Helen Kimball of Dalton; his nephews; Trevor Crombie of Dalton, Bryan Crombie of Flagstaff, AZ, Scott Redstone of Washington Depot, CT, David Redstone of Lee and Thor Redstone of Remmington, IN.
Funeral Notice – Funeral Services for Eben O. Kimball Jr., who died June 27, 2017 will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Eben’s memory can be made to the Lions Club of Washington D.C. in care of the funeral home.
