Obituary for Kimberly A. King
Pittsfield – Kimberly A. King, 61, of Pittsfield, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2017 at Hillcrest Commons surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Pittsfield on March 15, 1956, the daughter of the late John W. and Patricia A. (Horton) Cochrane. She attended local schools.
Kim had a passion for helping and taking care of people as a CNA; she worked for the past three years at Berkshire County Arc (BCARC) where she loving cared for many patients. Prior to that she worked at Meridian (ServiceNet) for fifteen years. She also worked at several nursing homes in the area.
While Kim’s work was her passion, her family was her greatest joy. Her biggest accomplishment was being a “Grammy.” She was an amazing; mother, sister and friend. She loved spending time with her children and adored her grandchildren. She was quiet, sweet and soft-spoken but was dedicated and hard working. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and her special dog “Jack.”
She is survived by her son; Joshua A. King of Pittsfield who lovingly cared for her during her illness; her daughters; Sara A. King and her fiancé Kevin Cushman of Pittsfield and Amy M. Rachiele and her husband Bruno of Pittsfield; her grandchildren; Ava R. Rachiele, Anthony D. Rachiele, Patrick J. Cushman; her brother; Craig W. Cochrane and his wife Suzanne of Nashville, TN and her sister Kelly A. Cochrane of Pittsfield; her nephew; Zachary A. Henderick of Pittsfield; her niece; Erin M. Burke and her husband Jeff of Pittsfield
Funeral Notice – Funeral Services for Kimberly A. King, 56, who died June 29, 2017 will be held Monday July 3, 2017 at 9 a.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 BRADFORD ST., PITTSFIELD, celebrated by the Rev. Msgr. Michael Shershanovich, pastor of St. Joseph’s Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday Evening from 4 to 7p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Kim’s memory can be made to Berkshire County Arc (BCARC) in care of the funeral home.
