Obituary for John M. Norton
John M. Norton, age 53, of Grove Street, died Monday at home. He was born in East Brunswick, New Jersey on May 9, 1964, the son of the late George F. and Mary E. Braun Norton, Sr. He was educated in and graduated from Pittsfield schools.
He was employed as an installer for Berkshire Fence for twelve years until 2015. He had previously employed for over twenty years at the former Lampiasi’s Bakery. “John was a plethora of useless information”. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, the History Channel, the Science Channel and watching old movies. He would read any paper from front to back.
John is survived by his two brothers: George F. Norton, Jr. and Mark Norton, both of Pittsfield; his seven sisters: MaryEllen Mechare, Donna Tibbetts, Veglia Pignone, and ToniMarie Gage, all of Pittsfield, Sandra Parreault of Melbourne, FL, Bonnie Norton of Vermont, and Patricia Cook of Florida; his daughter: Tristen Norton Manzolini of Pittsfield; three grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by two sisters: Elizabeth Kilfeather and Sandi Brooks.
FUNERAL NOTICE Funeral services will be private. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires or Hillcrest Cancer Center in care of the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA
