Obituary for Christine K. Klink
Christine K. Klink, 74, of 229 Robbins Ave., Pittsfield, passed away peacefully at home June 9, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Pittsfield on August 13, 1942 she was the daughter of the late Leo J. and Hedwig M. (Zurrin) Hess. She was educated in local schools.
Primarily a homemaker, Christine enjoyed gardening, woodworking and restoring her home. However, her greatest joy was taking care of her family; especially her children, grandchildren great-grandchildren and foster children. She was truly a mother to all.
She is survived by her sons; John A. Daniels of Pittsfield, Bruce H. Daniels of Pittsfield, Thomas I. Rawson of Pittsfield, and Michael Rawson of Worcester; her daughter; Lisa A. Houghtling and her husband Charles of Pittsfield; her granddaughter’s; Melissa Daniels of Pittsfield, Kaylee Daniels of Bronx, N.Y., Cassy Chipchase of Pittsfield, Christina Rawson of Pittsfield and Taharah Rawson of Worcester; her grandsons; Charles B. Houghtling of Pittsfield, William J. Daniels Jr. of North Adams, John Daniels-Levesque and his husband Mark of Haverhill, Robin W. Houghtling of Pittsfield, and Jeremy Chipchase of Oakhill, CA; her 13 great-grandchildren; her brothers; Paul Hess and his wife Robin of Pittsfield, Bruce Hess and his wife Penny of CA, Ernie Hess and his wife Karen of CA; her sisters; Marie Coe and her husband Gerald of Pittsfield, Carolyn Degroat of Pittsfield and Joyce Sunskis and her husband Al of Cheshire, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband John J. Klink Sr., her son; William J. Daniels Sr. who died August 4, 2009.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to cousins Claire Marchand and Barbara White of Pittsfield for their compassionate care of Christine during her illness.
Funeral Services – Funeral Services for Christine K. Klink who died June 9, 2017 will be held Wednesday June 14, 2017 at 12 noon at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 BRADFORD ST., PITTSFIELD. Calling hours will proceed the service from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Christine’s memory can be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
