Obituary for Andrew J. Pytko

Andrew J.  Pytko
Andrew John Pytko, 46, of Springfield, Virginia, died Tuesday, February, 7, 2017 in Virginia.
Born in Pittsfield on December 5, 1970, a son of the late Thomas J. and Dorothy B. Giordano Pytko, he was a 1988 graduate of Pittsfield High School. He continued his education and graduated from Westfield State University in 1992 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.
Mr. Pytko started his law enforcement career at the State Department in Washington, D.C. and most recently had been employed as a police officer in Fairfax County Virginia.
He enjoyed sports especially playing golf and was a diehard fan of the Boston Bruins, Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens and Orioles and Liverpool FC. He loved spending vacation time on Cape Cod and going deep sea fishing.
Mr. Pytko is survived by his sister, Maria T. Craft, her husband Michael, and their children, Morgan and Michaela of Pittsfield; his brother Thomas C. Pytko, his wife Jenny and his children Thomas and Maggie of Pittsfield; as well as fellow police officers of the Eves B Squad of the West Springfield District Station of the Fairfax County Police Department, and his many long-time “Virginia” friends and their families.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Andrew J. Pytko will be held Saturday, April 22, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield with a prayer service to follow at 12:00 Noon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Berkshire County Jimmy Fund in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA, 01201.
