Obituary for Pauline Frances Zaveruka

Pauline Frances Zaveruka, 97, of 63 Robert Street, Pittsfield, died Sunday,
October 14, 2012, at her home. Born in Pittsfield on June 13, 1915, a daughter of Julian and Frances Laska
Zegarowski, she was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a graduate of Pittsfield
High School. Mrs. Zaveruka was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Berkshire
Medical Center for twenty eight years retiring in 1987. She had been a communicant of St. Charles Church.
Her husband, Frank M. Zaveruka, whom she married April 20, 1936, died
October 9, 1981. Mrs. Zaveruka is survived by a daughter, Christine L. Zaveruka, with whom she
lived; two brothers, Edward Zegarowski and Stephen Zegarowski, both of Pittsfield; a
sister-in-law, Olivia Zegarowski of Pittsfield; as well as two grandchildren and two
great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her son, Michael P. Zaveruka, who died in 1991; four
brothers, Zigmund Zegarowski, Witold Zegarowski, Paul Zegarowski, and Walter
Zegarowski, and four sisters, Wanda Coty, Eleanor Miscoe, Nellie Greb, and Helen
Boland.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service for Pauline F. Zaveruka will be held Friday, October 18,
at 2:00 p.m., at St. Joseph's Cemetery with Rev. Peter A. Gregory, Pastor of St. Charles Church, officiating. (Those attending are invited to meet inside the Cemetery gate at 1:45 p.m.) There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Zaveruka may be made to Berkshire Medical Center Nursery in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
