Condolence: Dear Monica + Ken, Mark + Jeanie. I am so saddened by the news of your dear dad. My heart is broken that we just learned of this yesterday - our family would have been there for you, all the way. Please know that I love you, and Uncle Homer and Aunt Murph were always loving and kind, an inspiration to me. Please give your mom a huge hug and tell her we are so sorry to have missed the service. He will truly be missed by all. He served his country, community and family with graciousness and kindness and humility, always with a smile and great dignity. He is with our Lord now and I am sure he is now being served. May he continue to guide you and smile on your lives. My love and deepest sympathy, Cousin Connie

Condolence: Monica and Mark, I m sad hearing of your Dad's passing. I have so many great memories of him. Turning his gun cabinet around when we had a sleepover in your basement. The In and Out signs so he would know who had gotten home and when to lock the door. He was a good man and a great dad and husband., I keep you in my prayers and wish I could give you a hug. Love Cathy Cox VanAlstyne

Condolence: The Post won't be the same without Faithful Homer. We will miss you my friend. Your Honor Flight was one of the best days of my life. Thank you for that great experience. Wherever you went you were a beacon of graciousness. I will carry the WWII Monument photo in my heart for always. Fair Winds and Following Seas.

Condolence: Uncle Homer was a fun and entertaining person to be around. As a young boy uncle Homer would take me ice fishing and to his hunting camp where he would tell stories and taught me how to enjoy life! I'm glad he had an enjoyable long life and is now with my mom, his sister! Fair winds and following seas..... Ed Flint US Navy Commander (retired) Chesapeake, VA

Condolence: I was very sad to hear of Uncle Homer's passing. What a great, great guy. One of my very favorite uncles growing up. Always so much fun and energy and had time for the kids not just the adults. I hadn't seen Uncle Homer in some years, but his laughter, jokes and good times will always live within me. Even my son Kyle remembers the Thanksgiving that Uncle Homer did his corn starch and water trick. Since Kyle was just a little guy, he was massively impressed. When I told Kyle about Uncle Homer, he hadn't seen Uncle Homer in a long time. I said remember the corn starch and Kyle said OH I LOVE THAT GUY! I don't think a soul that met him didn't love him, be it family, friends, co-workers, neighbors. He was just that kind of guy. Aunt Murph, Mark, Monica and family, please know that you are in our hearts and prayers as an amazing husband, father, grandfather is now an angel. I like to think that he and Matt are causing a bit of a ruckus and keeping everyone entertained until we are with them again. Much love, Paula and Kirk Kellogg

Condolence: So sorry to hear of Cousin Homer's passing. I am Yvette Ouellette Guercio's daughter, Joan, and when growing up, my mom always talked so lovingly of your husband, dad, grandpa, etc. and we did get to see him and his family occasionally. Mom and dad are both gone, but I know they will welcome him with open arms. Love and fond memories, Joanie Moore

Condolence: He will be dearly missed. I will miss but hold cherished memories of all the laughter, love and fun at family gatherings... Uncle Homer playing the "spoons" his knee dancing and his stories...it was delightful. And then.. that "special marshmallow tree"....made it even more special Love, Dimps
